The videos are finished, the votes are cast and counted and we have a winner.
All of us here on the Alpharma Student Video Contest team want to say "Thank you" to everyone who submitted clips, made videos, voted, got their friends, families and classmates to vote, and in the end pushed the total vote count to over 7,000 votes.
Everyone involved in the project has exhibited their passion for agriculture and the future of food production. For the hard work put into each video and the overwhelming success of the voting, we wanted to be able to give out more than just one award. As an additional thank you for making the contest a success, the team with the third highest vote count will receive $1,000, and the second place team will take home $2,000.
Of course the big winner of the Student Video Contest will be awarded $5,000. The winning team got out the votes early and aggressively, and they kept their voters going throughout the contest.
